Russia was invited to a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE member states. This was reported by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.

The meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers will be perform from November 30 to December 1, 2023 in the capital of Northern Macedonia, Skopje.

Earlier, Federal Minister of European, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg said that it is necessary to invite the foreign Ministers of Russia and Belarus to the OSCE meetings. Reminding, that this organization includes 57 participating countries, he expressed the opinion that each of them should be invited to the meetings.

Last year, the OSCE Foreign Ministers’ meeting was held in the Polish city of Lodz, while Warsaw refused to participate to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In Russia, such a decision was called unprecedented and provocative.
