Natural disasters in Europe

Европа

Those days, Europe was hited by the most powerful storm since 1987, Ciaran.

High waves, up to 21 meters high, overtopping the coasts, heavy rains flooding the embankments, hail, the size of a tennis ball, destroyed houses, wind gusts of about 193 km / h, falling trees – this was the cause of most of the deaths.

The victims of storm Ciaran were residents of countries such as: France, Spain, Belgium, Belgium, Netherlands, England, Germany and Italy. Airplane and train flights were canceled and schools were closed. At the moment the big problem is the availability of electricity and water in homes. A major disaster… But what else has nature prepared for us…?

Europe has not had time to move away from the storm “Ciaran”, as on Saturday evening a new storm “Domingos” began to hit the west coast of France. Today it has already reached Bordeaux and La Rochelle, and was blowing at a speed of 120 km / h. Domingos had a maximum speed of 151 km/h, according to meteorologists.

Although the second storm in a week was quite weak, it managed to hinder recovery efforts. Also, the strong impact of the storm “Domingos” is expected in northern Spain, where will be the red – the highest level of danger. In France, while the yellow and orange danger level is set. Meteorologists suggest that the consequences of storm Domingos may reach the middle of France.
