Amir Abdollahian, according to IRNA, went on a regional tour to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

He first arrived in Iraq, where he met with his colleague Fuad Hussein and Iraqi officials. Amir then flew to Lebanon and met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Friday morning, October 13. During this conversation, Iran’s top diplomat warned that the war in Gaza could spread to other areas in the region if Tel Aviv does not stop its destructive actions. In addition, the Minister held discussions with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri.

During the meeting with the head of Hezbollah, “both sides mainly focused on regional events, in particular on the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip” – IRNA.

The visit to Lebanon followed a two-day visit to Syria, where, according to Iran International, Amir Abdollahian discussed with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad the importance of strengthening regional ties, and also noted recent successes in relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Amir Abdollahian announced the possibility of opening a new front against Israel if the blockade of the Gaza Strip continues: “In the event of the continuation of war crimes and the humanitarian blockade of Gaza and Palestine, every opportunity and solution to other resistance flows is possible.”

Also, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called its counterpart from the UAE to discuss Israel’s ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip and to note the importance of the support of the Palestinian people by Islamic and Arab countries.
