An earthquake with magnitude 4.3 was recorded near the Iranian city of Maku, not far from the Iranian-Turkish border, the rescue service of the Armenian Interior Ministry said.
According to the data, the epicentre was located at a distance of 86 km southeast of Yerevan. The origin of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometres.
No information on the damage and casualties has been received yet.
As Armenpresss reports, the tremors were felt even in Yerevan with magnitude 2-3. Residents specified that strong tremors were felt in Yerevan administrative districts of Erebuni, Nubarashen and Achapnyak.
