The Executive Committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has canceled an earlier decision on the admission of Russian youth national teams to tournaments under its auspices. This was announced on Twitter by British journalist Rob Harris.

“UEFA stated that it was not possible to find a technical solution allowing Russian teams to play,” Harris wrote.

Recall that on September 26, UEFA announced the return to the tournaments of the youth teams of Russia U17. Women’s and men’s teams were allowed without a flag, anthem and uniforms in national colors. Immediately after that, England, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway announced that they would boycott matches with the Russians.

Russian teams have been banned from international tournaments since February 2022
