On December 7, 2021, a shooting took place at the Moscow MFSC.
The tragedy happened in the Ryazansky MFSC on 1st Novokuzminskaya Street. Two people were killed, four more were injured. All the victims were hospitalized in serious condition.
The person who opened the fire was detained by an officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said the ministry. He was at the scene and managed to catch up with the offender and render him harmless. The department also said that the attacker had a knife with him. Eyewitnesses claim that the man was in an inadequate state.
“A certain Glazov, a former lieutenant colonel, first came with a pistol to the Zhilishnik state budgetary institution. There he shot one of the employees. Then, on his way down from the floor, he shot another security guard. Then he started shooting at the visitors: a man with a child. The security guard and an employee of the MFSC died on the spot”, – a source told RIA Novosti. He also added that the detainee could not name the reason for his actions, he spoke of a coronavirus and a global conspiracy. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the shooting was opened by a 45-year-old resident of Moscow.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the articles “Murder of two or more persons” (Art. 105.2 of the Criminal Code) and “Illegal circulation of weapons” (Art. 222 of the Criminal Code). The detainee faces from eight to twenty years in prison or life imprisonment. The Investigative Committee also reports that the man who organized the shooting in the Moscow MFSC will be assigned a psychiatric examination.
“A tragedy has occurred in the MFSC“ Ryazansky ”. As a result of the shooting of an unknown person, two people were killed, three were injured. The killer has been detained. I offer my condolences to the victims and the families of the victims. Doctors are doing everything possible to help the wounded”, – Sergei Sobyanin said on Twitter.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the actions of the police officer who detained the man who organized the shooting made it possible to prevent more serious consequences and prevent an increase in the number of victims. He will be presented with a government award.
