Norway is a country, located in Northern Europe. This Kingdom is a wonder of tourists with the beauty of flora and fauna from year to year. The most breathtaking fjords, amazing mountains, numerous waterfalls — all this is only a small part of all the riches of the Viking Homeland.

The territory of Norway stretches along the north-west coast of the Scandinavian Peninsula. The country borders Finland, Sweden and Russia. It is washed by the North, Norwegian and Barents Seas.

In the north of Norway, the subarctic climate reigns, in the main part — oceanic.

The weather is unpredictable. Summers are short but warm. In the south, the temperature reaches 25°C, and in the Far North it rises to 20°C.

The standard of living in Norway is one of the highest, as is the level of social protection.

Norway has two official languages: Bookish, which is derived from Danish, and New Norse, which was created by mixing dialects from all over the country. This fact greatly complicates the language learning process. Many Norwegians have a good command of English, which makes tourist life a little easier. On television, some of the broadcasts are in English with subtitles in Norwegian.

According to 2016 data, the population is more than five million, making Norway one of the least populated countries in Europe. Poles, Kvens, Lithuanians, Sami, Gypsies and, of course, Norwegians live here.

The most widespread religion in the country is Christianity.

The capital of Norway is Oslo. It is home to the Parliament, the Botanical Garden, the Royal Palace, theaters, museums, universities and institutes, and the offices of large companies. Seven hundred thousand people live in the city.

The monetary currency is the Norwegian krona. One dollar is equal to about nine crowns. The average salary in Norway is five to six thousand euros a month, but taxes in the country are very high.

There are very high fines for leaving garbage, so all waste is collected and disposed of in containers. If you return the bottle or jar to the store, you will receive monetary compensation.

Most people in Norway eat seafood, and this is not surprising. Fish here love and know how to cook properly. In the menu, you can also find the usual dishes: meat, potatoes.

The Norwegians are patriots. Therefore, you can often see the country’s flags on the windows.

It is very difficult for visitors to find a common language with the locals and friends among them.

Norwegians often bring up such topics during a conversation that is not difficult for a local to understand. But if you still manage to find an approach to the Norwegians, you will be pleasantly surprised by their discretion and restraint. They make great jokes on various topical topics. However, the Norwegians do not tolerate jokes about Royals, and this topic will only spoil your communication.

Norway is very suitable for tourism.

The country has many interesting places connected with its history and culture.
