A common language: the last way of unity in a world of disagreement

Art

It was long ago when all of us used to speak one common language. But people lost their ability to communicate independently as well as they lost the sense of unity. This fact appeared to be an inspiration for Tatyana Goryaeva, Alexandra Danilova and Maria Timina – the founders and curators of the featuring exhibition ‘A common language’.

In the basement of the exhibition lies a story of a Tower of Babel, a symbol of an International unity. Initially, people had only one language but it was lost as a result of the society’s resettlement. The exhibition will become an attempt to produce some new ways of communication. It will also bring us back to our common past.

On ‘A common language’ you will explore the variety of art creatures which are supposed to help people to unite. Artifacts, manuscripts and paintings are only a tiny part of a forthcoming event. The richness of deep details will immerse people in a worldwide history of language. It is all about us. It is all about telling a story of how to reach an international agreement in a current state of affairs.
