On June 25, an accident occurred at the crossing opposite the Airbus residential complex. The driver of the car hit the girl Tatiana. She was on an electric scooter.
According to ewitnesses, the girl was driving slowly along the road, and a medium-sized car crashed into her. After the accident, the driver approached the victim to find out her condition. Tatiana asked why the driver did not notice her. To which the answer came:”Sorry, it just happened.”
Then I turned to the driver, but he refused to comment on the situation.
Statistics of accidents related to electric scooters for 2020 indicate that about 145073 road accidents occurred with their participation, in which 16 thousand people died and more than 183 thousand people were injured. With the advent of coronavirus infection, the number of road accidents decreased by 33.3%, the number of dead — by 16.6%, and the injured — by 33.4%. At the same time, 80% of accidents occurred due to traffic violations by drivers, but each accident was also associated with traffic violations by pedestrians.
