But how could we, the descendants of great people, cancel the most important holiday for our people – May 9. The parade, in spite of everything, took place. More than 12 thousand soldiers, 191 units of military equipment came to the main square of the country that day. In the air part of the parade, 76 aircraft and helicopters took part. For the first time, as many as three heavy military transport Mi-26 helicopters took to the skies. Previously, only one such model participated in the parade.

In addition, the 2021 parade “sounded” in a different voice. This year Anton Suntsov played the role of the announcer. The new announcer replaced his mentor Yevgeny Khoroshevtsev, who passed away in December 2020.

As you know, not a single Victory Parade is complete without new products. This year, of course, was no exception. For the first time, a Typhoon-Air Defense combat vehicle passed through the paving stones. This combat vehicle is a remotely controlled installation with a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.
