Russian President Vladimir Putin held an international telephone conversation on November 22, 2021.

President Putin had a conversation with Italian Prime Minister Draghi. The leaders discussed the tense situation with migrants on the Belarusian-Polish border.

“Both sides noted the expediency of the European Union’s practical cooperation with Minsk to resolve the crisis as soon as possible in accordance with the norms of humanitarian law”, –  the press service of the Russian president informed.

Also, the topic of the conflict with Ukraine was touched upon. According to the Russian president, Kiev ignores the Minsk agreements and uses weapons prohibited by the agreements in Donbas.

The conversation was also about cooperation in the energy sector. 


“Vladimir Putin confirmed Russia’s readiness to ensure uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to Europe on a long-term basis, including using the possibilities of the “Nord Stream-2” pipeline”, –  the Kremlin said in a statement.
