Prague city.

It is an amazing and very long fortress, which consists of honorable buildings, it is located in Prague. It is one of the most visited places by tourists! The beginning of the construction of the Prague Castle dates back to the 9th-10th centuries. It was built to strengthen the defense of the city. It is one of the largest residences in the world. Romanesque architecture, Gothic architecture, Baroque architecture – these are the main styles of buildings. 

At the very beginning is the Teresian Palace with its guardhouse and huge gates, which are considered to be a true work of art. Then you can see the Chapel of the Holy Cross, the Matthias Gate. One of the oldest buildings is the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral. Also one of the symbols of the city is the Golden Lane with small houses.

Saint Peter and Paul’s Cathedral.

A stunning cathedral in Romanesque and Baroque styles is located in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.The cathedral itself was founded in the 9th to 12th centuries. There’s a Latin inscription from the Gospel in front of the entrance. Previously, the cathedral was used as a cinema, now classical music concerts are held here. Mill colonnade.

The largest colonnade in Karlovy Vary is the Mill Colonnade, built in the 19th century. Walking along the columns, you are immersed in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages: old houses, the embankment of the river Teplá surround a truly artful place with Renaissance architecture. Also the Mill Colonnade is rich in thermal springs. Tourists come to relax, heal and try the healing water. Let’s talk about the springs:

The Mill Spring is the first where water was used for drinking, it is one of the oldest. The water temperature is 56°.

Libushe Spring. The spring got its beautiful name from the wise heroine of historical myths. The water temperature is 63°. 

The Mermaid’s spring was once one of the most beloved by tourists and the most valuable springs. The water temperature is 60°.

The rock spring. In ancient times there was a horse hospital, but now it is possible to drink its mineral water, which has a temperature of 53°.

The Prince Wenceslas spring is the hottest spring, and its water was used to produce Karlovy Vary healing salt. The temperature of the water is 65°.

Snake spring. This source justifies its name. Here you can see the snake from which the mineral water comes out. Contains the least minerals, water temperature 30°.
