As part of the “Wishing Tree” campaign, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu made Kirill Ushakov’s dream come true from the Vladimir region. The teenager wanted to fly in a military helicopter and visit an airfield.

According to RT, pilots from the Semyazinoe airfield in Vladimir helped the boy’s request to be fulfilled. Kirill’s sister Alisa also flew in the combat vehicle.

In a video conference with Shoigu, the happy teenager said he had flown in a helicopter, watched combat aircraft and had a delicious meal in the canteen. Saying goodbye to Kirill, Sergei Shoigu congratulated him on the New Year and wished him good health.

Earlier Sergey Mishustin took part in the action. The head of the government tore a balloon-card from a charity New Year’s tree installed at the Russian Government House. The prime minister said it was a “wonderful wish tree”.

Mishustin will fulfill the wish of five-year-old Misha Spiridonov from the Oryol region. The boy dreams of visiting a confectionery factory.

Vladimir Putin also took part in the Wishing Tree. The head of state plucked as many as three wishes from the New Year tree. Thus, the dreams of fourteen-year-old Mark, who asked for a guitar, and five-year-old Asor, who wishes to be a real fireman, will come true. A wish will also come true for thirteen-year-old Tatiana, who wishes to see the ballet Swan Lake at the Mariinsky Theatre.
