The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and General Director of the “Russia – Country of Opportunity” platform signed a cooperation agreement at the Jubilee XXV Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held in Saint Petersburg from 15 to 18 June. The agreement envisages the implementation of projects that create opportunities for personal and professional self-realization of youth, as well as the dissemination of best practices in the field of identification and development of talents.
“The number of participants in the presidential platform projects in the Nizhny Novgorod region is growing: in four years, more than 189,000 residents of the region took part in the competitions, of which 854 were among the winners. Together with the Autonomous Non-profit Organization (ANO) “Russia – the country of opportunities” we held many events: the festival “Russian Student Spring”, the All-Russian finals of the competition “Masters of hospitality”, the district semifinals of the competition “Flagships of education. School,” the finale of the “Big Change” contest”, – said Nikitin.
Also, competence assessment centers were opened on the basis of the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Nizhny Novgorod Lobachevsky State University.
“This year we welcomed IT professionals from all over the country to the District Artificial Intelligence Hackathon, which is now in its second year on the hospitable land of Nizhny Novgorod. Sustainable development of Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as the whole country, achievement of strategic goals in social sphere, economy, education, healthcare and other important sectors is possible only with comprehensive work with young people, forming an enabling environment for self-realization, disclosure of potential, gaining confidence in their abilities and, most importantly, being in demand in their homeland. The agreement signed today with ANO Russia – Country of Opportunities will be primarily aimed at implementing these tasks”, – said Nikitin.
The agreement will not only increase the level of cooperation that has already been achieved, but will also lead to joint competitions, events and activities.
