Over the past year of the pandemic in Russia, according to official data, more than 4.3 million people fell ill, of which 3.9 million were able to defeat the infection. Over the past two weeks, the number of cases has been declining every day – less than 10 thousand confirmed cases for every new day.

Good news

Despite the rather sad statistics for a year of living in a pandemic, there’s also good news. The Moscow authorities called possible terms of lifting the restrictions. According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, it’s more likely that the mask regime will be lifted in the capital and the region by May, if the situation with the spread of the coronavirus doesn’t worsen. However, the restrictions still apply to people over 60 years old with chronic diseases, as the restrictions is still a “premature” decision.

Results of the year of life in the context of the pandemic

Of course, COVID-19 has made significant adjustments to the education system, affected travelers and students, in general, affected absolutely all areas of modern life, and here are some of them:

All-Russian voting. In July 2020, the all-Russian referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was held, which for the first time could be taken online, which couldn’t be observed earlier.

Education. The pandemic has affected schoolchildren and students across Russia, because since April 2020, all lectures and classes have been held online through the ZOOM and SKYPE platforms. As it turned out, for many students, this method of obtaining knowledge is more efficient and less energy-consuming.

Journeys. During the pandemic, true travelers were exposed to a lot of problems, especially in the first wave. To date, it’s impossible to enter many countries, it’s problematic to obtain visas and foreign passports, and in the few countries that can now be visited when traveling from Russia, you must necessarily need a certificate of a negative test or even a vaccine made in advance.

The world economy.COVID-19 has greatly affected both the domestic and global economy, bringing with it crises in a huge number of countries, inflation, bankruptcy of individuals and legal entities, the collapse of small businesses, and many other problems that won’t be resolved so soon.

Relationships between people. In Russia and the world, people have become closer to their families, children and parents, as self-isolation has allowed them to stop in the mad race of life and be alone with their relatives and friends, which can’t, but rejoice in the endless summary of negative news about the ongoing pandemic.
