Russia is also planning to start vaccinating children from 5 to 11 years of age. Experts allow for the possibility of vaccination with a longer interval between injections of the components. Some European countries have been adopting this practice since autumn last year.

Earlier, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko reported that children tolerated the vaccination well.

According to the Ministry of Finance, more than 53% of the total population in Russia has now been vaccinated.
