On July 30, the co-founder of the Finiko financial pyramid was detained in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The head of the “Phoenicians” Kirill Doronin is accused under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”). According to the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk, this organization has been attracting huge amounts of money since June 2018 under the pretext of highly profitable investment investments.

To attract customers to the company, information about accepting money was distributed in various ways. But, according to the investigators, there was practically no investment activity. The affected depositors from different regions of the Russian Federation wrote more than a hundred statements to the police. Previously, the cost of damage was estimated at seventy million rubles.

The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan is currently choosing a preventive measure for the detainee. The investigation sent a request for the detention of Kirill Doronin.
