Polling stations opened on the morning of November 8. The US electoral system is very interesting. Some states have a mixed system, others can vote at polling stations, others can send a ballot by mail. Due to the fact that more than 40 million voters voted ahead of schedule, city commissions were forced to install additional checks to avoid fraud.

This reminded many Americans of the 2020 election, when Trump began to lose positions to Biden because a large number of ballots for him came in the mail.

The start and end times vary from state to state, depending on the county. For example, Vermont was the first to open a polling station and Hawaii and Alaska were the last to close.

Every two years, the United States re-elects the entire House of Representatives to Congress, with a total of 435 members. The number of congressmen per state depends on the number of counties. According to preliminary data, the Democrats won 217 seats and the Republicans 218 seats. The Republican Party may gain a numerical advantage in the House of Representatives, but one should not expect much success.
