On August 10, the body of the previously missing Russian Makar Ragin was found in Turkey. The body of a 20-year-old man was found on the island of Burgazada near Istanbul.

According to a source of RIA Novosti, the police of the island of Burgazada received a message that the body was found in the sea near the rocks. According to Sabah, the already dead Ragin was seen floating around the bay by people, and it was they who reported to the police.

“During the inspection of the area, a bag was found, in which a photocopy of a passport was found in the name of Makar Regina. The body was identified as belonging to him and sent to the morgue for forensic examination.”

Makar Ragin disappeared in Istanbul on July 28, his father Fyodor Ragin reported him missing. According to the father, his son could have been detained by the police during a raid to combat illegal migrants on the day of his disappearance, but the man was not found in the migration centers. The Russians were also looking for the Russian on the island of Buyukada, because that’s where he was going to go.


The Consulate General of Russia appealed to the Turkish authorities with a request for help in the search.
According to the latest data, the young man bought a ticket for a flight to Warsaw. He was supposed to go back on July 29 at 17:00, but he never left.
