A compliment to Russian scientists: The US Infectious Diseases Expert praised Sputnik V.

Kremlin relations

The chief American infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci on March 6 spoke very positively about the Russian vaccine «Sputnik V». He said in his interview with the Greek channel Skai.

“The information I know about «Sputnik» is pretty good.” “I am not concerned about the side effects of vaccination, as they rarely last more than 24 hours. — Fauci added.

Anthony noted that he has insufficient information about Chinese vaccines and their effectiveness. When he was asked what kind of vaccine he would choose for vaccination, the infectious disease specialist answered evasively.

“I don’t have enough information about Chinese vaccines, because there are two or three different vaccines.” — Fauci answered the question of journalists.

«Sputnik V» — what kind of vaccine?

On March 5, the Russian vaccine from COVID-19 «Sputnik V» came in second place among the vaccines in terms of the number of countries that approved it. The third place is now occupied by the British vaccine «Pfizer».
Hungary and Slovakia have approved «Sputnik V», while the rest of the EU countries are silent about the permission to be vaccinated with the Russian vaccine.

According to opinion polls, «Sputnik» is the most popular and popular vaccine in Europe. Moreover, the scientific journal Lancet in February published an article about the Russian vaccine, testifying to its effectiveness and safety. And this is correct, because the Russian «Sputnik V» has no special side effects and doesn’t provoke the appearance of allergies.

Also, the Prime Minister of Bavaria and the first Deputy mayor of Paris asked to speed up the process of considering a «Sputnik» for vaccination in the European Union. The Commission will check the Russian vaccine for the presence of side effects according to all EU standards.

“It’s very important that the European Agency assess the quality of vaccine certification as soon as possible, in particular with regard to vaccines from Russia.” — said Emmanuel Gregoire.

On February 18, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the start of clinical trials of the “Sputnik Light” vaccine. Earlier, he said that “Sputnik V” has already proven its effectiveness and safety, having passed all clinical trials.

“The new drug developed at the Gamalei Institute is designed to eliminate the main drawback of Sputnik V.” — explained Sobyanin.

“Sputnik Light” has already passed the first phase of testing, it has no special side effects and is carried by the body without problems.
